From teacher's aide to district-level administrator, my path has been driven by a commitment to inclusive, effective education
Starting my career as a teacher's aide, I quickly discovered my passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs. This foundational experience taught me the importance of patience, creativity, and individualized approaches in education.
I earned my M.Ed. in Special Education from Plymouth State University, along with certification in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). These credentials, combined with ongoing professional development, ensure I stay current with best practices and innovative approaches.
My experience spans multiple educational environments - from public elementary schools to residential psychiatric programs. I've developed and managed specialized programs, including an Emotional Behavioral Disorder classroom, and served as a Student Services Coordinator overseeing special education, Section 504 programming, out-of-district placements, and multi-language learner services.
I believe in the power of collaboration and partnership. Every student deserves an educational experience that recognizes their unique strengths and challenges. By working closely with educators, families, and students themselves, we can create environments where everyone thrives.
